CHAPTER 14 MATH VOCABULARY

area: area is the number of square units needed to cover the inside of a region or plane figure.
cone:a cone is a solid that has a circular base and one curved suface from the base to a vertex
cubic units:cubic units are units for measuring volume, such as a cubic inch or cubic centimeter  
rectangular prism:
rectangular prism is a three dimensional object in which all 6 faces are rectangular.
polygon:  a polygon is closed figure made up of line segments that do not cross each other.
